Statement of Faith
God – We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all. Gen1:26, Matt 28:19, 1Pet1:2
God – We believe in God The Father, the Creator and Ruler of the universe, an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. Gen1:1, Exod 34:6-7, John 3:16
Jesus Christ – We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. I believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and His personal, visible return to earth. John 1:1-5, Heb 4:14-15, 1Cor 15:3-4, Acts 1:9-11
Holy Spirit – We believe in the Holy Spirit—the third person of the Godhead, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ for ministry. John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Eph 1:13
Bible – We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice. 2Tim3:16, 2Pet1:20-21, Prov 30:5
Humans – We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice and therefore, are under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit, those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit, empowering them for service. Isa 59:1-2, Rom 3:23, Rom 10:9-10
We believe the Apostles’ Creed contains the fundamental facts of our Christian faith.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate
He was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose from the dead.
He ascended to heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy universal Church,
the communion of the saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
