Back in Uganda! Students taking midterm exams, traveling soon to their village, Deb legs healing, Christmas programs, introduction…
Good morning from Uganda, as you can see I’ve made it back! Thank you to everyone who prayed for the trip home and for everybody in the US. I felt so loved when I was there. Thank you for so much care that was given to me. Even with the broken leg, I’m so thankful for you guys and the love you showed. God bless you.
Now that I’m in Uganda I am trying to get back in the swing of things. I’m almost done with jet leg, yay. The students are taking tests, they’re in a test right now as I record this. They have today and one more day, we’re going to have a little Christmas party and then they will head home to their Villages so they can see their families. Hopefully that’s going to be smooth and uneventful. Thank you guys for covering that in prayer.
We have an introduction tomorrow on the staff compound and the last prison ministry Christmas program is tomorrow too. There’s a lot going on this weekend. Then at the end of this month the ministry closes for a week so everyone can take an intentional break. We talked today about refilling ourselves when we’re depleted so this is something that is scheduled in to help people refresh and refill.
I do have, I think, one more week in the boot for the broken leg. I’m going to go get an x-ray next week and see if I can get rid of the boot. The ground here is a bit uneven so it’s hard to walk but I’m doing it, I’m slow but I’m doing it.
I do appreciate your prayers, thank you guys for coming on this journey with me and I’ll talk to you again next week cuz I’m going to go back to weekly updates with prayer requests. God bless you, I’ll talk to you soon…
