Outdoor kitchen remodel, prison outreach, dreams, Easter…
Good morning guys I wanted to get you an update of things going on this week. And the big thing this week has been the outdoor kitchen. They’re in the middle of rebuilding it. I posted some things on social so you can watch the progress with us. We’re super excited as it gets going. The cooks are really looking forward to having a stove that’s a bit higher. The sides are going to be higher so that they aren’t going to hurt their back so much when they’re cooking. Plus right now we have a temporary kitchen set up. So a lot of the week has been dominated by that.We also had the round table last Friday where we talked about the difference between someone who’s religious and someone who’s spiritual. Reaching people for Christ where they’re are. A lot of people have been hurt by church people and we talked about how we can bridge that gap. Ot was a really nice conversation. Prayers for next month, well discuss abortion. That is illegal in Uganda but so many people are doing it. No one Ralph about it though. So we thought we should maybe get everybody together and talk about it. We went to Bugungu prison on Saturday. There’s a short video on the social channels if you want to take a look. We had a good time we played some volleyball, we played some chess… we we’re able to hang out with some of the prisoners and encourage them.Today we’re going to a different prison, Iganga, where we’re going to have a day of worship and share communion with the church there. This means our schedules are a little weird today because we have to leave early to get there. We are expecting and think it’s going to be a good time. Also this week I spoke with the students about budgeting and why we budget. What’s your dream for your life? where do you want to go? what do you want to do with your life? I’m working on a class about financial stewardship, it’s not ready yet, but prayers that it could get ready so people could work on those dreams that God gave them for their lives. Usually your dreams involve a financial commitment, like to start a business or buy s home. Thanks for praying for them as they work on their dreams. Coming up, for the students, that they would be finishing well. We are just a couple months to go. The pastor’s conference coming up in June. John Chitwood’s coming. Easter is very soon and we’re getting ready for that too. Thank you guys for praying and coming on this journey with us. I’ll talk to you next week. Mukama akuwe omukisa (God bless you).
