Great Asian flavors shine through in this simple lettuce wrap. Dinners on in 30 or less! No more heavy, high calorie foods please. When I get home, I want something light and easy to make. This was tasty and fast.
Lettuce Wraps
1lb ground turkey
1/2t salt
1/4t pepper
1 lime
3T honey
2T coconut aminos
1T sriracha
2 clove garlic
1” ginger, small pieces
1 can water chestnuts, drained and diced
3 carrots, shredded
2T cilantro leaves
1 head butter lettuce (or other large leaf lettuce)
Extra lime for drizzling, cut into wedges
In a blender, combine lime zest, lime juice, honey, coconut aminos, sriracha, garlic, and ginger. Blend until smooth.
In large sauce pan, on medium high heat, add turkey, salt, and pepper. Fry until almost cooked through, 5-8 minutes. Add the sauce, cover and simmer for 3-5 minutes more.
Serve on lettuce leaves with water chestnuts, carrots, and cilantro, drizzling with lime juice.
